Crafter in training

Naomi got a cute pink bead necklace for Christmas.  Naomi LOVES it.  A few weeks ago it broke.  I swept up all the beads I could find. We purchased some more elastic. I decided I would let her remake her necklace.  I found the largest needle I have and got every thing set up. I was a bit nervous how she would do with the real needle.

After a while I even let her go at it on her own.

She LOVED making her necklace.  Now she wares it even more.  Probably because she helped make it.

I usually let her help with some of my crafting.  I guess I will have to let her in on more.

Fall is here!

I am loving the cooler temps!  Although I would not mind it if the wind we have been experiencing the last few days would calm down a bit.  But then it is Kansas.

Fall is one of my seasons.  I love the leaves changing color, the coolness in the air at night. Fall "flavors" are some of my favorite caramel, apple, and butterscotch. Yumm! I get to pull out all my cozy blankets.  Promises of snuggling with my girls, the cat, some books, and a hot drink beckon me.
 Happy Fall!

Football

Both girls experienced a first a few weeks back.  They both went to their first football game.  It was chilly but not too cold. A perfect night for high school football.

Bethany ended up being in the Moby.  She wanted to watch the people around us and the car seat just was not good for that.  I also thought that if she got warm and cozy enough she would fall asleep.  Well she did eventually, when there was about 2 minutes left in the game.  She was EXHAUSTED.  She slept through getting pulled out of the Moby, getting buckled in and almost getting but to bed.  It was amazing.  she is a pretty light sleeper when it comes to moving her around.

Naomi had a pretty good time even though she kept trying to beg popcorn off of people.  She also got to experience the "football minute."  She had been bugging some people near us so Adam made her sit by him for 2 football minutes.  This was not a time out or punishment but just trying to give the people a bit of a break from our "Chatty Cathy" daughter. He tried to play and talk with her but by the end of it she kept asking if the football minute was over.  It was rather funny.

And mommy got to have some practice taking non-flash pictures with my zoom lens.

We had a great time. sadly it looks like this may be the only game we get to go to this year.  Our high school team only had 3-4 home games this year. But next year we plan on making it to more.
